Oh darlin' wish I could take you to Egypt

So, spoke my pal,

Landed 8 weeks later

Immediately, adventure on, caught a taxi to take us to the desert

and meet local for herbs.

At one point we were miles from the road

wondering if we were lost

but no, we were soon on our way

to the wrong hotel

Welcome to Egypt!

After a night in the wrong hotel in the wrong place

we found our way to the right place

it was quiet,

on it's own bay,

nestled by a beach,

nearby an island,

here,

we laughed,

slept,

lay on ancient coral sand,

cooled by the lapping waters of the Red Sea

mesmerised sensing ancient footprints

of those

who trod

the

shore

before

******************************

On New Years Eve

it was also a festival of Eid

a tribe arrived

built fires

on the beach

shared ancient tales

spoken

by

the music

&

the dance

******************************

We were touched,

moved

endeared

blessed

the event was a gift

to the staff

who couldn't be home

from the owner of the place

we were at the staff party

The following morning

we would leave by car for Dahab
